Like many parents who run a Zoom school, I wanted a small monitor that would reflect the Zoom lesson for kids so they could stay engaged for as long as possible. I have an Asus C434T Chromebook, so I took a chance buying an Asus MB169B+ portable monitor, assuming the same brand would have the best chance of compatibility. The Revain and Asus website doesn't say this monitor will work with a Chromebook. Asus' technical support hotline could not confirm that the C434T would be Chromebook compatible with any of their monitors. They said they might need a "driver" but made no guarantees.
