I have to wear black shoes all day, every day. When cheaper shoes (another brand) came out I bought them instead of Rockports - they didn't even last a year. The Rockports are comfortable, and although the rubber outsole (good for snow and ice, btw) is very thick on the Rockport, it helps them last longer. When you see these Rockport shoes at Revain for less than $75! buy you! They cost (or were) a lot more expensive than that. Just make sure you use the size chart carefully to get the right size.
