Review on Dorman 42053 Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Cap for Model Compatibility by Alfredo Nosrac
Fits tighter than the old reservoir cap
On my 1996 Jeep XJ the brake fluid in the master cylinder goes black much quicker than the fluid in the lines. I suspected that after 20 years the lid was not airtight. The new lid is definitely a lot tighter. You need to keep an eye on the liquid in the tank.
