As we are at a dead end, tons of sand and other sediment are getting into our water. It clogs our sink faucets, shower heads, toilet fill valves, washing machine hose lines, etc. We tried a small return line filter under the sink but the pre-filter was clogged after 9 days. Knowing how much garbage there is in our water, I decided to buy 2 of these and connect them in parallel. Using a pair of 1 micron Hydronix filters, we experienced no drop in water pressure at all. I have a pre and post filter with a pressure gauge and when the water flows the pressure is exactly the same, 80psi. We couldn't tell the difference when we showered, which was concerning. Some filters make strange noises when water flows through them, but these are quiet. Now I love the idea of not having to clean all the faucets and change the toilet seat every 6 months. I'll update this with the lifespan of these two filters for those who may find themselves in the same situation, but if they last 6 months I'll replace them anyway. It should be interesting to see what they look like.
