As mentioned in previous reviews, it is drilled and joined. I gave it one star because the left turn signal wire, while long enough, is short. It has been taught to pull and I don't think it will handle vibration well so I would recommend fitting a small extension to this cord. The version I bought does not require wiring to the car battery. It easily detaches from my existing 2016 Kia Soul tail light fittings. All in all it was a very simple setup. When placing the module in the right rear light, care must be taken to ensure that there is enough space to properly mount the rear light on the vehicle. If you can get this used kit from someone who hasn't bothered to splice a small piece of wire I would highly recommend it as it's almost half the price and definitely easier than a few splices and modifications to your standard wiring harness.
