Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Advanced 4-Way AC Diagnostic Manifold Gauge Set with 1/4" Can Tap for R410A, R22, R134A HVAC Systems by Chris Burks

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good solid heavy collector's set.

I'm by no means an HVAC professional, but I'm surrounded by several people (son-in-law) and this is my review, not theirs. I used it today and am very satisfied. You acted as expected. Note. Just make sure you know which way your valves go. They're labeled correctly, but when I finished, the fill side was open (because I hadn't closed it) and instead of venting the high pressure side back to the low pressure side, it came out of the fill valve (DOH!) just like I pasted many of my reviews have when I look at budget items. You CANNOT compare them to expensive kits. If you're a pro who needs this kit for everyday use, or even someone who's too picky, just pay the high price and rejoice. All in all, I'm very impressed! You get a lot of features for this price. The hoses clearly look good and new. Like the adapters, they all appear to be well made. The can tap also seems to be well built. On the collector itself, as said somewhere, the handles are plastic and you can see the "shape" line. And the same applies to the actual sensor housing. In my opinion the plastic is as strong as it should be and I don't care about the visible line on the plastic where it was made. All of the taps in the manifold appear to be sealed, and the manifold itself is very heavy. The sight glass is clean and clear as far as I can tell. It also includes a high-side intake purge. The only thing I don't see are lane parks when not in use. but that's why they make a deal, right? The fast connection creates the feeling of hard work. It feels like some metal on metal and a not-so-smooth fast joint. Although the valve side is smooth. I just added a drop of liquid white fat (seriously, just a drop on a cotton swab for stock). I didn't want to foul the lines or ruin the seals. Do this at your own risk. Overall they are still very useful. So finally we have a case. It's just a cheap plastic case, but it works. This is perhaps my biggest minus. The manifold does not sit perfectly flush in the housing. The body is either a repurposed 3-way manifold design or it has been overlooked but all the faucets are not cut out so everything is flush. Again, nothing special, but I don't like the slight pressure this faucet exerts. Easy to fix. I'll cut out some markers and TADA everything is better. In general, fearing the quality, do not hesitate to buy this set. They look good and I think for the average person who needs to use them once or twice a year they are worth it. EDIT::: I've used them several times and my opinion hasn't changed, BUT. may not sound good. On first use the rivet holding the locking mechanism broke rendering it unusable. I still think the product is worth 5 stars but can be touched better. Also, all cans are self-sealing now, which is different anyway.
