I bought these, they were cheap and the description said "Compound arm design provides a 50% increase in cutting power." Yeah, not so much. The fit and finish is terrible. When the jaws are closed there is a gap. They don't seem to be long-lived at all, and they aren't long-lived. I was excited to try the "Complex Action" as I had never tried this type of pliers before. When I got them I went to my garage to test them with some scrap wire. It's terrible! They don't cut well and don't make a full cut due to gaps due to poor workmanship. I grabbed my 20 year old Craftsman pliers without the fancy "compound action" and cut the same wire. Wow! My 20 year old Craftsman pliers, which I've used A LOT over the years, made easy and complete cuts with LESS effort. Bottom line: don't waste your money. Sure, they're cheap, but they're not worth it. It's true: A 90-year-old woman with no teeth could chew through wire more easily than these pliers.
