This clamp works really well but the rubber bushings eventually go up on the X clamp arms and come loose. This usually happens on rough roads. I bought more rubber pads and asked Ram Mount what can be done to fix this problem. I was told to use super glue. I tried and it worked for a while but ended up losing more of them. I figured there must be a better way and came up with the idea of using zip ties. Today I rode my bike on a very bad road and it worked like a champ. So my question is for Rama Mount. Why not add cable ties to your packaging? They were supposed to be black (I only had blue ones lying around at home). Zip ties and needle nose pliers to sync them up very well. Then cut off the excess.
