Review on Songhe 4 Channels IIC I2C Logic Level Converter πŸ”Œ Bi-Directional Module: Efficient Voltage Shifter for Arduino Green Board (10PCS) by Steve Washington

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Inverts the signal and has no documents - can be improved

But without documents I assumed the connection of the HV 5.5 side, in my case it is due to the HV on the VG Ground the ground 5.5V .LV to my 3.3 and LG to 3.3 ground. NOW THE PROBLEM. Apply 5V to the Hx input, you will get 0 to the Lx output. UPDATE - October 23rd, 2020 I found an old data sheet from Phillips detailing what they do. They expect the signals to be pulled up. I suppose this would be fine for an I2C bus application. Useless to me. So I thought you might know that I connected the same Hx input to ground through a 1K resistor. NOW I GET 3.3V at the Lx output. expectation. Of course I could be doing something wrong since the documentation wasn't included, but still. I keep looking for alternatives.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
