Review on 2 TB External HDD Western Digital WD Elements Portable (WDBU), USB 3.0, black by Adam Kaniuk ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

While working in apartment 27 at a chilly 41–42 degrees, the body is hardly warm. For HDD, up to 45 is regarded as normal. I'll remark right away that WD has given me better results than Seagate (there I got a copy with warming up to 70 degrees in operation - the fault of the adapter board). I acquired Elements Portable WD10JMVW, and also, there are Google complaints from folks who can't locate it in stores. Written here. That will serve as a backup for me. Only after six or a year can it be evaluated for reliability. But, I'm now content with the purchase.

Pros
  • 1) There are no clicks or rustles. works steadily and silently. 2) Speed: maximum 112.7MB/s, average of 90MB/s in the disk's center, and lowest recorded 51.3MB/s. Around 40MB/s are output on USB 2.0. It's typical for a drive with a 5400 rpm speed. 3) Immediately switched to Windows 8.1 Ubuntu has not yet been tested on XP. 4) There is not much wiring. It is significantly more practical when used with a laptop.
Cons
  • 1) The CD was still in its original box. Five power-ups and one unsafe retrieval, or power-off failure, have already occurred (smart parameter C0) 2) The temperature is accurately determined by AIDA and CrystalDiscInfo. HDTunePro - no. 3) I don't care, but for some, the activity indicator may seem bright
