I insulate my freestanding booth. The problem I missed (and cursed myself for not noticing beforehand) is that the floor needs to be insulated with R-30. This requires a 9 inch pocket between the floor joists. The problem is I used 2x8 lumber for my floor joists which only gives 7 1/2" of pocket space. So what to do? Well I ordered some 2x2x8 planking strips and these DEWALT DCS16250 2-1/ 2- Fasten 16" used I cut nails in my Metabo straight cut nailer and was busy driving 2x2 nails to extend all my floor joists to a 9" pocket. Having installed over 1500 cutting nails I am delighted, these Dewalt 2-1/2 The 1" nails have never caught or kinked! They fixed my error quickly. Now the insulation is in and tested. I can recommend this Dewalt 16 I warmly recommend ga finishing nails.
