Pays off. I think so and here's why. All my life I have drilled metal, mostly steel. I wear out tons of drill bits over time and am just an amateur. On the current project, drilling a small set of bit sizes over and over again over the course of a year, I still get good results with the selected bit sizes that I use frequently. The 1/8" pilot diameter comes to mind when I use it for anything to get started. Yes, still on the same bit. noted the increased life of the drill. I liked the results of the drills so much that I started using a band saw to cut metal, a rip saw to cut steel, etc. So I bought a 16oz Tap Magic. Needle tip bottles and keep one at each cutting station. Dear TapMagic.
