BMW 2014 4.35i Convertible (note the last part). Just finished installing First good news. Above all, it looks GREAT. Comes very well protected and packaged. And finally the perfect fit; snaps exactly where the original was placed. Now the not so good news. Several posters have described how easy the installation is. Simply remove the rubber strip and top bolts securing the bumper and reach inside to release the grille latches. I tried and it NEVER worked. Maybe a 12-year-old girl with small hands could get there, but she wouldn't have the strength to open the latches. Why? I think it's the convertibles. I don't know every detail of every BMW model, but I do know that manufacturers add braces to convertibles to compensate for the loss of rigidity caused by the loss of the roof support. You can see the extra spacer behind the grille and I think it takes up space preventing the hand from reading the back of the grille. Eventually he gave up and took his fine saw for a few vertical pieces of one side of the original grille's grille. Then I could put my hand in and undo the latches. Once one side was out it was easy to reach in and pull out the other side. Then lightly insert the new grille, but after knocking out half of the original grille you will understand why a perfect fit of the new grille is so important. If you don't care about keeping the original grille, this approach may be the easiest way to install. YMMV
