I purchased this product because I was looking for a tool that would allow me to easily and accurately install new cabinet hardware. I have a couple of doors and drawers and it was important to make sure the new hardware lined up with the adjacent door/drawer. Using a tape measure with pencil marks and drill holes (essentially aimed at the eye) doesn't help. Another issue that bothered me was the variety of hardware handle lengths - from 4.5 to 14 inches - as such a tool eliminated many of the risks of misplaced holes and made it possible to work on long hardware handles. This tool was perfect for 34 doors and drawers that received new hardware. I found it important to use my phone's camera to document specific hole locations because I knew I'd have to go back to this "setup" with other doors (I was renovating my cabinets and installing doors/drawers/hardware when I was done was). . Process). The quality of the tool is good - all parts are metal, not flimsy. However, I would say that this tool probably cannot be used by the average carpenter who sets up equipment day in and day out - this tool wears out. In any case, professional carpenters have much more expensive tools. It is excellent for renovating kitchens and bathrooms in the same house. After about 30 doors/drawers, a small round piece of metal fell out of one of the drill holes - it didn't cause any problems finding the holes, it only serves to guide the supplied drill more precisely. . Which brings me to another good feature: the only thing you need to bring is a drill and equipment. This tool comes with a correct size drill bit and an Allen key to adjust the hole (use this to tighten the final hole position). All in all a great tool for my use. I would recommend it to a friend.
