This greatly improved the performance of my 2006 Forerunner; it added a bit of horsepower, but the big difference now is in the airflow, acceleration and smoothness of the engine between shifts. The Trailblazer's engine is a big 4.2, but it's fitted with a small air-supply braking system like a normal car or van. That cool air intake changed everything and allowed my engine to run at full flow without being restricted by a low air intake. It moves faster and more fluidly. There are fewer rev dips between shifts, so it's smoother, especially on hills. I would have gotten it years ago if I had known it would make such a difference. Corrects a design flaw, so to speak. TAKE IT. worth every penny. Insertion is also easy.
