I have a 2020 Mac Book Pro m1 13" chip, although I bought it in May. I was hesitant to buy this case since in one tear was noted in the reviews. It can tear if installed quickly and hard. I slowly and carefully put the pieces together and they fit together perfectly. I did not remove the protective film or the keyboard. My Mac has a backlit keyboard and the keyboard doesn't let any light through. But it looks great even without it. I would recommend this case! It won't protect him from the apocalypse, it will take him from place to place.
