This timer is the standard timer that I use most of my life. still works great. But please read on, because those days are long gone. I've bought - and I'm not kidding - at least six of these in the last year. Each of them died. Desperate today since my faithful friend is in another house and I needed a timer I figured I'd just lube it up so I took it apart. Previously, this timer was an all-metal construction with the same plastic shell. Now almost everything inside is plastic, gears are everything. I lubricated it and it worked again - for five minutes and then it died. Now it's in the trash. Unfortunately, while I'm still hoping and searching, there doesn't seem to be a similar timer that works well on Revain. I don't like it and I don't think we should be using electronic devices because everyone ends up being incinerated or sent to landfill to poison future generations. Alright America. We need goods like they used to be - made in America, not cheap Chinese goods whose only function is to "look good". Or, come on, China, get on board and make products that work, otherwise we Americans will soon stop sending you money.
