Best 1u PI mount I've found

I ordered this to be able to mount two Raspberry PI 4b. One is used for dashboard (using Dakboard) and the other is a console server for some switches in the rack. A metal stand mount is included and the power switches are already installed. There are packages for the add-on board (with moving fan and SD card), the HDMI board, and various parts and screws. The only problems I had were during assembly. The LCD display is mounted on two studs welded to the stand. You have to put two small nuts on the studs to hold the LCD in place and it took a while, mainly because one of them is right next to the power button so my wrench didn't fit those sides. Another assembly problem is the SD card ribbon cable. You need to connect one end to an add-on on the board. The ribbon cable has nothing to fit in the cable slot so I had to push it in carefully and it took a long time to get it in properly. The shelf is in the room just below where I keep the dash TV. So I just have a 15ft HDMI cable that runs through the floor to the basement and plugs into the front of the rack mounted PI. To get the LCD working, download the package to use the LCD and put the file in a folder to run. rc.local (which you should include if you haven't already). I modified the file to only contain the name and IP address of each PI.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff
