Review on Monroe Max-Air MA833 Shock Absorber for Enhanced Performance by Pete Norris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits and performs better than unsealed OEM shocks.

They went in easily, I just wish they had more cushioning for this application. My traverse still bounces a bit even with 50psi of pressure in them. More pressure reduces bouncing but raises the rear too high, now the headlights need adjusting. I was able to route the air ducts through the floor by drilling small holes in a plastic grommet under the trunk floor and then mounting the inflation valve in a convenient location in the trunk where it would not be damaged by the cargo as shown in the middle of the picture. Probably an hour for the shocks themselves and another 2 hours to assemble and install the third seat, trunk liner, carpet and left trunk liner to install the filler valve and route the air lines. These shocks have a minimum and maximum working pressure, so you MUST install an inflation valve and inflate them to the minimum 30psi specified in the instructions. I used a bike pump with a built in pressure gauge to increase the pressure to 55psi for a better ride. No problems with seller, packaging or shipping.
