Review on 🚰 Aquasana 3 Stage Chrome Water Filter System: Ultimate Filtration for Pure, Refreshing Water by Brennan Buckley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Installation requires ample under counter space

Installed today, no leaks. I'm not a big fan of push-in tube fittings, but they have worked for me; It is important not to cut or scratch the pipe where it is to be sealed. Aquasana designed the body with a straight male tube fitting at each end of the body, which would require several inches of clearance at each end. taking into account the bending radius of the pipe. It's pretty tight under my kitchen sink and the cabinet is about 12 inches wide even without pipes installed at both ends, so I bought two "Street Angle" fittings from a hardware store ("Street Angle" is a fitting on one end and a woman on the other) ); This allowed me to install the cabinet further under the sink. The height of the faucet makes it almost impossible to place a drinking glass on the worktop next to the sink. In order to fill a pitcher, I have to hold it deep in the sink or stand it there. I plan to buy a larger faucet (search Revain for "drinking faucet" or "water treatment faucet") to solve this problem. In any case, there are no leaks, the water tastes good. To my knowledge, this is the only underwash filtration system certified to remove PFAS, which is becoming a problem in Ann Arbor. The city is working to stay ahead of the curve, but I don't want to be the victim of a mistake on their part (see Flint Water Crisis).

Pros
  • High flow rate - this system passes half a gallon of water every minute. Compared to traditional drip filters, there is no need to wait for clean water.
