After trying my sister-in-law's vacuum cleaner, I knew I needed a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner. I was put off by the Dyson's price, lack of accessories in the kit, and the need to always leave the switch on. First, I knew it wouldn't replace my Kenmore vacuum on a carpeted floor. I wanted it for hard floors, decorative rugs and simply picking Australian dog hair off rugs. For all of that, it worked great! So I did a little brand research and settled on the Dreame T20. His shortcomings compared to Dyson were: 1) he didn't take Cheerios; he would clog up and shut down. 2) There were issues with club failure. It turned out that the wire came loose, so I was careful when carrying and storing the floor unit. The advantages were as follows: recording can be blocked; including accessories and wall mount; and the Dreame's battery is swappable, albeit pricey, and availability seems erratic. So... not perfect, but I decided to give it a try anyway because of the price difference and extra features. The Dreame T10 looked great, but I went with the T20 because of the additional electronic screen and the "Auto" function. Ultimately, the T10 would be fine as I don't really use the auto function (the eco mode suited my needs perfectly). Here's what I like about Dreame: 1) The beater really doesn't get clogged with hair (human or long dog hair)! 2) The battery is easy to hold in Eco mode to clean hard floors, throw rugs, and quickly pick up rugs in an area of about 1000 square meters. ft. Using turbo mode will drain the battery to zero VERY quickly, but I don't think it's necessary. Eco mode is great for picking up dog hair, Douglas fir needles, dirt and small debris. 3) Quiet in economy mode. My only vacuum sensitive dog won't run to the door anymore. 5) I found that the buttons and unlocking parts are not easy to unlock. A little oil and rubbing made everything perfect. 4) Dirt dumping is easy for any trash can. I prefer to shed it when moving around the house because our dogs leave a lot of hair and it fills up the trap quickly. Also pick up a set of robot vacuum cleaner cleaning tools; They are very cheap and have everything you need to remove dust and hair from a vacuum cleaner. Can't vouch for durability yet, but if this vacuum lasts a year or two I'll definitely be making it again.
