Review on πŸŽ’ Maxpedition 1804 Monsoon Gearslinger Black: Superior Tactical Gear for All-Weather Conditions by Jimmy Franklin

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My second Maxpedition package - very happy customer

History of three Maxpeditions: * Noatak (iL) - will carry an 11 inch Mac Book Air (discontinued) but hardly and only with the thinnest cases. It is within a few years from Boston by bike (Brompton) and the subway an hour. Includes side water bottle pocket. It could actually be a great package for a tablet! Now that I have the Monsoon it's the perfect bike backpack for a few miles, fits my Kryptonite U-lock and everything else I need. This pack would easily double the size of my Noatak in terms of storage and organization, so I really wanted it to work. The tablet will probably work. * Monsoon (16 L) - I didn't use it at first because the teardrop shape seemed strange to me and I was wrong. = I have read complaints about the narrow top opening of the harness bags. Although this is a legitimate dislike. I've found that with my "materials" simply experimenting with what works has led me to a perfectly good organization of things in the end. Inside I use a small number of zippered pockets. Sitka would have given him more compartments. + The zippered pocket closest to the back is for a water bladder, which is handy if you need one, but it's the PERFECT spot for a 13" laptop!!! + Water bottle pocket on one side, foldable umbrella pocket on the other. I've been watching the 'Buy One Get One' sales on the Maxpedition website for months, although in theory it's a great deal, they never stock anything so I'm glad Revane stocks it.
