This is a really tall tripod. In the second photo, I've included a six-foot yellow ruler for context. The camera is almost 8 feet off the ground! But it's also very durable and very light for its size. Vibrations disappear quickly. I appreciate that I rarely have to extend the narrowest parts of the legs, it makes the difference between a sharp shot and a fuzzy blurry shot, especially with 400mm+ glass at night. The shell adapter makes shooting panoramas with long lenses much more convenient. It took a long time for that!
