Star Tall Tripod

It's shorter than the Gitzo Systematic GT5563GS Series 5 but still incredibly tall and represents great value for money. The quality is phenomenal even at a higher price point. An Arca-Swiss die is placed on the pocket. Treat yourself and take the GC-404C Gear Column with you. It still fits in a pocket with a dice. You won't regret it if you don't want to go camping with it.

The Beast King of Tripods

This is a really tall tripod. In the second photo, I've included a six-foot yellow ruler for context. The camera is almost 8 feet off the ground! But it's also very durable and very light for its size. Vibrations disappear quickly. I appreciate that I rarely have to extend the narrowest parts of the legs, it makes the difference between a sharp shot and a fuzzy blurry shot, especially with 400mm+ glass at night. The shell adapter makes shooting panoramas with long lenses much more convenient…

  • Complete Tripods

  • Vulgarity

Robust and very high tripod

This tripod is incredibly high. If you're looking for extended range, this is for you. I'm 6ft 8" and need a step stool if I want to get it to the max height. The build quality is excellent, the carbon fiber legs are well made and the leg fasteners are smooth and very strong. The only two minor nits I have with a tripod are the following. Very short spikes included. To attach them you need to remove the rubber foot. This exposes the underside of the tripod and there is little to no protection…

This thing is a fully stretched out beast.

Okay, I like bowls and wide feet. I wanted a tripod that would fit a 100mm dish. This one does. I ordered that. I have a few other tripods, even the Leofoto 364cl. It's great too and it's an upgrade on my RRS and cheap IFootage at the same size and level. iFootage has an issue that has been driving me crazy. Bubble level at the top of the 75mm mounting plate where it is not visible after mounting the head. In any case, I wanted higher. This thing is massive. I'm not sure if this is the tallest…
