I had a JBL Flip 2 and loved it so I bought a JBL Flip 3 and loved it too! I also have friends who have JBL Charge and JBL Pulse and I have always been impressed with these models. So when the JBL Flip 4 came out and I saw that its price was so affordable, I bought it because it never hurts to have a few (one in my office, one in my van, one in my living room , etc.) ). I bought the Ocean Blue color which impressed me as soon as I opened it. nice color; dark, deep and humble, but at the same time different and unique. i love the color My first impression was that the Flip 4 felt heavier than my Flip 3, and I was happy to hear the sound quality because I was confident that JBL would continue to innovate and improve on their flagship Bluetooth speaker. But I was stunned. When I started writing the song it sounded great. That's because the beginnings of most songs are very "subtle," meaning few things are happening at once, allowing the speaker to devote all their energies to a note or two. But as the song got "busy," meaning there were more layers, the sound got muddy, the bass completely disappeared, and the clarity I loved so much about my Flip 3 completely disappeared. The song caught my eye first. This is "Happy Pills" by Paul Leonard-Morgan (from the Unlimited movie soundtrack). The song sounds great on the Flip 4 for the first 55 seconds, but clarity and bass noticeably drop off at the 1 minute mark (when additional sounds are added) and noticeably drop off again at 1:15 when the song really gets going peak reached. . Hearing this song on the JBL Flip 3 sounds great, but hearing it on my new Flip 4 just frustrates me. How much has the sound quality deteriorated on the new model? The newer model should have improved sound quality, isn't that why you're releasing the newer model? If not to improve the sound quality, then at least the sound quality should stay the same, but the device will have longer battery life or Bluetooth connectivity, right? Unfortunately, I have to report that while the battery life could be improved, the improvement is marginal and not worth it at all if it's a compromise for sound quality. Bluetooth connectivity is the same as my Flip 3; I don't notice any difference at all. I've tried using the JBL Connect app to play music on multiple Flip speakers at the same time, but I feel there are too many bugs and glitches in this system that need fixing. I can't really make it work for me, but I'll keep trying. If you're buying this EXCLUSIVELY for the ability to connect multiple speakers then look elsewhere until JBL improves this functionality significantly. I hope JBL releases an update for the JBL Flip 4 that improves the audio quality and I hope JBL fixes any issues with the JBL Connect system. For now, my belief in JBL and my love for their past products is the only reason I'm not returning this column. fake reviews about Revain. I wish Revain would do more to fight fake reviews. If you see a product on Revain with over a thousand reviews and over 4.5 stars, be careful and use sites like FakeSpot and/or ReviewMeta. I have no idea how accurate these fake rating tools are, but I guess it can't hurt. Thank you for reading!
