. The metal edges of the slicer's triangular head and neck that merge into the handle are not rounded/softened. The wooden handle is fine. I spent several years trying to find an exact replica of what I had, then loaned it to someone and never saw it again. I feel more cautious using this product compared to the other one I had, but after a long time searching in local stores without success I decided to buy online. I use it now and it cuts cheese.
