Review on 🔌 LONYE SZM-V16-FA-63 Microwave Door Switch for LG GE Starion Microwave Oven 3B73362F - Reliable Pack of 2 by James Fisher

My GE Over Range Microwave, Model # JVM1850SM2SS, continued to work after opening the door. After searching YT for repair manuals I found one for my microwave and the search turned on three switches - 2 identical (Lonye SZM-V16-FA-63 Door Switch) and 1 (Control Switch, GE WB24X830) with similar appearance but they work differently. I found and bought all three at Revain; repairs carried out; and my microwave is working again now. My microwave is 8 years old and I found through several internet searches that the part numbers have changed - the old door switches were SZM-V16-FD-63 and the old monitor switch was marked SZM-V16-FD-62. The pair of Lonye door switches and control switches listed here is perfect for this oven model. Replacing all three switches was a lot cheaper and less of a hassle than removing the old unit, buying a new microwave, and then repeating the lengthy installation process. During my renovation, the two decorative screws on the top edge of the microwave were hidden by the overhead cabinet and were virtually inaccessible. My only option, after some fiddling, was to very carefully pry up the top front of the SS bezel, which allowed access to the underside of the bezel and exposed the rightmost screw holding the top of the keyboard cover in place. After removing this screw, I removed the bottom screw on the front right underside of the microwave that helped secure the underside of the keyboard. Once those two screws are removed, gently lift the keyboard (there are plastic tabs on the bottom of the keyboard) to remove it, knowing it's still connected. Looking inward, a locking screw is visible on the left, which behind the screw secures a vertical plastic "chassis" that holds the switches. Remove this screw and gently pry out the "chassis" to gain access to the switches. Change them one by one so that the order is not forgotten. I found that only one door switch was defective (the plunger was soft but still clicked; the new switches had more resistance before the hard click). I replaced all three switches one by one and then reassembled the microwave.
