My son needs a new lamp next to his bed and as he has an attic and it's far away touch on/off is very helpful. He used to have to stick his head out of the top bunk to flip the switch under the lampshade, and he kept falling over. This lamp is turned on and off by simply touching the base with your finger. It stretches at the pole if you want it longer or shorter (we like it when it's tall). There's also a USB charging port, perfect for plugging in his buzzer without the hassle of running extra cables on such a small table. I've attached photos so you can see the shadow and base colors - gives off a lovely warm glow that isn't too harsh on the eyes at bedtime.
