Benefits: Securely locks in position. It seems I can get the job done, although my requirements were signal level voltage switching and not high current. Cons: The metal bezel feels a bit flimsy compared to switches from decades ago. The screw terminals also felt a bit flimsy. I was afraid I would break the screw if I overtightened it. This is a DPDT switch which I got quickly and what I wanted now. Shame there are no more local providers but this was at a low price. The real test would be to use a motor as a directional controller and see how the contacts handle high current, which wasn't my job.
