Review on Trex Tiki FastenMaster FMTR3-212 Trapease Composite by Luis Thompson

Looks right when you're done, but you really need to pre-drill.

These are a perfect color match for my Trex Composite Deck so are cosmetically ready. When inserting and screwing in, you have to make sure that no metal is in the way. This may seem obvious, but it's worth repeating because if you use a hole punch and drive another nail or staple into the frame, the head will pull out quickly and it'll take you a hell of a long time to pull it out. First, pre-drill each screw with a 1/8-inch drill bit. Have a few pieces ready - I broke 3 doing 12ft of stairs. Overall, they're as good as anything I've used. OK product IMO.

Pros
  • Wood Screws
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled
