Review on Xspec 26" 21-Speed Folding Mountain Bike - Perfect For Trails, Commuting & Adults by Damon Murray

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good bike overall - Instructions are crap

Instructions are crap but thankfully not very hard to assemble, so only 4 stars because of assembly instructions being crap. .Overall it is a good bike, i was worried that the folding clamp would be a problem but it is not. Had to adjust and calibrate the front brake because it likes to rub on the brake rotor and cause the tire to not spin freely but after calibration it works fine. Tires are not the greatest and they don't like to stop on grass, dry or wet it does not matter which. The seat is VERY uncomfortable and had to replace it. Although it comes with bolts for a bottle holder, there is no bottle bracket included so you'll have to go buy one at walmart or somewhere for $2.96. The kick-stand is very weak and you should make sure that you tighten the bolts on it every so often to make sure you dont loose a nut and bolt like I just did last night. But like i said, good bike overall, gears all work great, except the low gears 1 & 3 give problems. When switching from (front sprocket) 2 to 3, the chain jumped and the chain guard broke the first day out. And switching from 2 to 1 (front sprocket) it doesnt always like to switch. So, 2 gear works the best really, easy enough in 2-1 to go up the steepest of hills and 2-7 and beyond to 3-1 to 3-7 you can pick up pretty good speed downhill or on flat surfaces.

  • This is NOT an Electric Bike! Folds flat in seconds with no tools required! Folded Dimensions: 41"H x 32"L x 22"W. Weighs 42 lbs (approx.).
Cons
  • The smaller tire size may not be suitable for more technical trails or rough terrain
