Poorly constructed bike

*PROS*- Bike frame is very strong and sturdy.- Fold Latch hae a very sucure locking mechanism.- Duel Suspension is phenomenal at shock absorption.*CONS*- Cheap plastic pedals. (Which broke by the way). And im only 5'7 160lbs. So you will more than likely have to change your pedals. Regardless of they break or not. Extra money out of your pocket.- Disk break came bent.Probably occurred during shipping. However the guys at the bike shop definitely let me know how difficult that could make the…

Pros
  • The bike's alloy rims and hubs provide extra durability, ensuring that the bike can handle wear and tear
Cons
  • The folding mechanism may be difficult to clean and maintain, causing issues with functionality over time

Good bike overall - Instructions are crap

Instructions are crap but thankfully not very hard to assemble, so only 4 stars because of assembly instructions being crap. .Overall it is a good bike, i was worried that the folding clamp would be a problem but it is not. Had to adjust and calibrate the front brake because it likes to rub on the brake rotor and cause the tire to not spin freely but after calibration it works fine. Tires are not the greatest and they don't like to stop on grass, dry or wet it does not matter which. The seat is

Pros
  • This is NOT an Electric Bike! Folds flat in seconds with no tools required! Folded Dimensions: 41"H x 32"L x 22"W. Weighs 42 lbs (approx.).
Cons
  • The smaller tire size may not be suitable for more technical trails or rough terrain

Good buy for the price

Good buy for the price! Couple of concerns though:1. The bike feels as if it's going to crumple upon you on fast rides2. Upon riding for 10-15 mins for 5 days now, there are some funny squeaking sounds coming in from the main hinge where the bike folds3. The seat post should have been atleast 350mm long vs 300mm - slight disadvantage if you like a higher riding position4. The disc brakes need a major adjustment for the initial assembly when you take it out of the box. Expertise required!Outside

Pros
  • The bike's aesthetic design is stylish and attractive, making it stand out from other mountain bikes on the market
Cons
  • The seat may be difficult to adjust properly, causing discomfort and potential injury

Missing Front Fork Components Could not Assemble

My opinion of the Bike and how it functions, remains to be seen.I received a Bike from a Xspec distributor (Crosslinks).Crosslinks is just a distributor; meaning they get the Bikes from Xspec and sell them.Xspec seems to have a Quality Control issue! My Bike came from Crosslinks through Best Buy within a week.I was excited to assemble and ride the same day because I am rehabbing my Leg from a nerve root condition.Sadly, the Bike was missing the biggest key component. The Front Forks are missing…

Pros
  • The Xspec 26" folding mountain bike offers excellent versatility for any rider who wants a bike that can handle different terrains and situations
Cons
  • The bike may not handle well in wet or slippery conditions, increasing the risk of accidents

Make sure you have basic hex tools to assemble.

It assembles ok. One of the spokes on the front wheel was bent opening the box. This caused the front wheel to be slightly untrue and required adjustment of the front disk brake pads. Aside from that assembly was easy. Overall is is a decent value for the money. Just make sure you are familiar with assembly of a bike and basic troubleshooting.

Pros
  • Recommended rider's approximate height 5'3" - 6'0". Max user weight up to 220 lbs. Some assembly and tools are required.
Cons
  • The brakes may be less effective than other mountain bikes, causing safety concerns

Solid construction, bad pedals

This is a first impression after purchasing and test run, i.e. before extensive using.PROS: solid frame; disk breaks work great.CONS:Cheap low quality pedals are not usable, need to be replaced right away (main reason for one star down rating);Front wheel came slightly bent (not a transportation damage), needs adjustment;Seat post is too short for 5.11 person, need to be replaced with the longer one;Gear shifters work fine, but made from thin light cheap plastic (unusual for Shimano);Manual is

Pros
  • The durable tires on this bike provide excellent traction on a variety of terrains, making it easy to handle different types of trails
Cons
  • The bike may not be as fast as other mountain bikes due to added weight from folding components

Good bike for the price but

Great bike for the price, but it needs a lot of adjustment, brakes caliper, gear converter but if you how to do it and you have tools for that, it will be no problems at all.Pros: price, easy to carry and transport, strong frames, suspension, foldingCons: needs adjustment always, and you have to carry with you tools for that always, handle bar gear converter is not good, because you can’t see which gear number you are in the front or the rear, and also some times you put the handle bar gear in…

Pros
  • Bikes
Cons
  • The bike's overall weight can be heavier than non-folding mountain bikes due to added components for folding

Worst bicycle of all!

I purchased this, Xspec 21 speed bicycle for a dear friend in Cuba. As I live in Iowa, I requested it be delivered straight to Miami to agency that delivers packages to Cuba. That was not the problem, bike was sent to agency as

Pros
  • The bike's entry-level price point makes it an affordable option for first-time mountain bike buyers, making it accessible to everyone
Cons
  • The bike may be difficult to transport due to its size and weight, making it less convenient than expected
