Bad connection and Netgear refuses to support product

. This product was purchased to allow my work laptop to connect to multiple Wi-Fi connections at the same time. From the beginning the connection was unstable and slow. During a video call, my connection would drop intermittently at regular intervals. I've researched online to diagnose and fix the problem and as far as I can tell it's probably a USB switching issue. So far I haven't been able to find a way to fix this on my laptop (new HP zBook). The device is currently unable to provide any of the features I purchased it for. So I made the mistake of calling Netgear support. Even when I searched their website to get started (which supposedly speeds up the process), I was still on hold for almost half an hour before I was contacted by a support agent. We have discussed some basic troubleshooting methods. The problem occurred with both my old router and the new Netgear Orbi I just bought. Since my other laptop did not have these issues, the rep stated that the issue is 100% related to my work laptop and that I need to contact HP to troubleshoot my Netgear device. I tried to explain that we had only established that the hardware was working and that I needed help troubleshooting the adapter configuration, but the rep disagreed and said it wasn't their problem. I've never come across a company that sells a tech product and flatly refuses to help set it up. I will most likely be returning the adapter and am considering returning the Orbi system I just purchased due to Netgear refusing to support their products.
