Quality control issues, leak catcher

At least everything was in my kit. but then the problems started. The parts didn't quite fit together. They must have sold out and ordered replacements elsewhere, or just poor quality control I think. But when assembled, the cup gasket was too big to fit snugly in the dump valve and the threads stripped when I twisted it together and it offered more resistance than I expected. I didn't stress it too much and tried to land it a few times to be sure and I kept it up most of the time until it stopped. thought it would be ok I checked it several times after that and then I smelled burning oil with the windows down, checked all the hoses and checked that the canister was attached, but when I finally removed and opened the canister the very first thing was the rubber seal. because the bank collapsed on the spot. When I then looked at the lower value, the valve was covered with oil on the outside. It was wrapped as tightly as possible. When I looked at the valve more closely, there was oil in the bottom as well, so it couldn't just spill out of reach. looked at my alternator and sure enough there was burned oil residue. At least I found the smell of burning. I put the original hose back (saved as a precaution) and am now waiting for the next more expensive replacement. I hope I don't have to change the alternator after the car has only done 40,000 miles.
