Review on 🔧 GRAND PITSTOP Tubeless Tire Puncture Repair Kit | 15 Mushroom Plugs for Motorcycles & Cars by Ian Bates

I found a small nail in the rear tire of my FJR1300, left of center. The tire was fairly new so I wanted to plug it up instead of replacing it. After reviewing several products, I settled on the Grand Pitstop Repair Kit. I liked the idea of the mushroom plugs more than the ropes of the cheaper kits. The kit is fairly easy to understand and use, but I wasted a mushroom plug by not turning the plug handle far enough to get the plug through the nozzle. I threw that peg away and tried another, this time turning the peg knob until about 1/4" of the threads in the peg were showing. This was perfect as the rear end of the mushroom cap was sticking out of the tire after I had the nozzle removed (see photo).I tugged at it with pliers making sure it was in place correctly.Cutting this part of the connector with the knife provided was easy and I was ready to roll pretty quickly (see photo). There is no way to inflate the tire in the kit so a portable air system is a must for when you're on the road.I inflated the tire and left it overnight;The next morning there was no noticeable loss of air in the tire.On my first ride with the repaired tyre I was a bit nervous but all went well I have driven the tire about 400 miles since the repair and am confident that the repair will be good until the tire wears out itself is. I highly recommend this product but be aware that you must provide tools to remove the object that deflated the tire and provide a way to inflate the tire. It also helps if you can do your first home renovation where you have access to all your tools, but the process is simple and straightforward enough that roadside repairs should be easy to accomplish. The pieces and parts of the set feel sturdy and of good quality and are small enough not to take up much room in my saddlebag. Now he's with me everywhere and I'm sure I can renovate most standard homes along the way.
