There is no such thing as accuracy in aquarium thermometers
I've tried it on all my animals and even humans and it's not even remotely accurate - everyone's temp was under 99 and dogs and cats are normal 100-102.5. One cat had a temperature of 92, and all the animals I've ever seen with a temperature of 92 (I'm an ER vet) were barely alive. I would not trust this product at all.
