I don't know how this product should smell. However, it smells like rotten hard-boiled eggs, wet cardboard that has sat for days, or rotten coconuts. This is just an honest review. I thought the smell was just because it was organic, but now I doubt it. Hair is not soft after use. The packaging was good, didn't leak. Delivery was quick. But be careful, it smells bad.
