I was wrong - it's great!

I was initially disappointed with this product as I thought it wasn't polarised. I was wrong. This product is made by a polarizing film manufacturer and actually contains a layer of polarizing film. The effect is invisible when held up to a computer screen, iPhone or sunglasses. Because it's a layer of polarizing film, it doesn't completely disappear when you look at it through another polarizing filter. It was such a subtle effect that I immediately skimmed the one-star reviews, confirmed my wrong guess, and jumped on the bandwagon. I am so sorry for 3D Mention Media, LLC. This thing works. The product does not work miracles, but its effect is invisible. I drive a 2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i and am constantly exposed to sunlight and headlights. The yellow tint is hardly noticeable after a very short period of getting used to it and reduces the sharpness of oncoming headlights and the reflection of the sun at night. during the day (although not as good as a good pair of polarized glasses). Even cooler, you can use this all day long when paired with polarized glasses. I use this all the time. It's pretty cool, if not magical. The mounting solution seemed cheap when I took it out of the box (two velcro straps) but it works very well and is secure. The hinges are all metal and they have a nice touch and a locking click that keeps the visor at the angle you set.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Disappearing finish
