I bought these to replace the sticky pad on my car magnetic phone mount so I can change the position I mount my phone to. Each time the mount held up perfectly. But because of the heat, when the car is outside, it seems that the heat acts on the sticky pad. The weight of my phone in the Otterbox plus a couple of credit cards in my back pocket seems to create enough leverage to pull the panel away from the dash. I can't discredit these pads too much for being technically designed for pop sockets, but remember heat is not their friend.
