It was the perfect fit for the series resistor in our 2005 VW Beetle. The fan is working as it should again (before this replacement it was only running at maximum speed)! UPDATE - I had to buy a second one as the replacement failed within a week; The fan is most likely the culprit. It's been a week since I've replaced both and so far so good. TIP: DON'T SPEND YOUR TIME ONLY REPLACING THE RESISTOR; REPLACE THE FAN AT THE SAME TIME. If that spare resistor fails I will update it but I'll leave the 5 star rating for now as I think the fan motor caused the failure.
