My son is very athletic 2.5 years old, he is a master climber/jumper and not clumsy at all. But every time he uses it, he jumps up for about 10 seconds, then his front legs seem to be stuck to the ground, and he's thrown forward over the horse's front onto the ground or into furniture. Maybe it's only for use on carpet? Today he broke his lip. I think I got rid of it. ***Update*** My 3 year old is suddenly big enough to ride this thing around the house without falling. He loves it and it burns a lot of energy. I think his legs are longer now so he has better control. For reference, he is 37 inches tall and weighs 33 pounds. I am updating my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
