You helped me. I had to drill through the tile to install my mom's handrails and that helped. Photo shows a 6mm drill bit after drilling four holes in a cement backed ceramic tile. I don't see the abrasive grains coming off the nickel plated plate and I don't understand why it doesn't cut four more like the first one. I set my cordless drill to maybe 500rpm and kept the hole wet from start to finish, allowing dirt to come out. The beat never got too hot to touch. I started it at an angle as you can see on YouTube and the holes fully launched in less than fifteen seconds. It will repel the small round point of the tile that forms where the center hole in the drill bit is. I ended up cleaning the bit out a few times for each hole with a small dull bit in a vise and it worked. Once I figured it out, each hole took about a minute from start to finish. Maybe this wax will do something if you heat the drill enough, like dry cutting, but it will smack the drill and a minute into the hole. I like to take my time to prevent the drill bit from ever going over 212β and stop everyone for a few seconds to splash water into the hole. That's a lot less time than it would take me to get another piece here. Anyway 5 stars because he did his job looks like he will continue to do so and maybe I just don't understand this bit of wax.
