WARNING! This Actron model and probably all others in the DIY market have limited ability to detect the ABS system in a wide range of vehicles. I have a rugged little Actron CP9575. Has worked great for years but does not read ABS codes. I'm trying to solve the problem with ABS myself, so I bought a CP9670. It has been advertised as ABS compatible for GM, Ford and other vehicles since 1996. Popped it into my 1996 Chevy Van and my 2012 Focus and the ABS "module" didn't show up on either of them. Actron / Service Solutions technical support was helpful. It is explained that car manufacturers do not release code software for MANY cars in the price range of homemade scanners, only for top professional consoles. This MUST be stated in the product description. Call this technical support group to find out if it's right for YOUR vehicle. 800-228-7667. Item returned immediately.
