It gets codes so you can find out how to fix it

It's good for getting codes I haven't contacted the tech team yet. IN CAR DEALERS THE SCANNER JUST TELLS YOU WHAT GROUP IT IS, EXAMPLE WHY I BUY IT. I HAD AN EMISSION PROBLEM. ALL YOU CAN SAY IS PO-0445 AND IT WAS PO-0401 THAT THE FACTORY MANUAL SAYS FAULTY EGR VALVE

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • High price

Mini USB cable suitable for tools and equipment

Actron CP9670 works perfectly. Mini USB cable USB 2.0 Type A to Mini B cable Male cable so you can connect it to a computer to view the results. Mini-B cables are not very common and are difficult to find locally. Revain should offer this cable with the scanner.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some small things

worth its weight in gold

This worked on both my 2003 Chevy Silverado and my 2014 Ford Explorer. I have a Chilton manual for each and the codes really helped. Knowing where the codes are and using them to diagnose the actual problem has saved me a ton of money. Two different mechanics wanted to charge me for the sensor. This was fixed with a fresh install. It worked for me and I highly recommend it.

This thing is great for getting engine codes

This thing is great for getting engine codes as well as showing real time data. There is also a function to clear current codes. In the past they would just take it to an auto parts store to have them pull the codes for me, but that gives a lot more information than what they give you. Don't pay a mechanic a "diagnostic fee" that costs as much as this tool! Save time and money by getting more detailed information about the code.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • There are some nuances

Meter does not print data

This has to be the worst automatic scanner on the market. The data collected works well enough, but if you try to take a screenshot with the PC software, frankly it won't work at all. Period! There is nothing useful or productive you can do by plugging a USB cable into your computer. The only thing you can do is to read the help guide to find the reasons why you cannot get features from this terrible device!

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Very expensive

Very good hand scanner.

This is my 3rd automatic scanner (2nd Actron unit). I was happy with everyone. I bought this one to get more details and live info. I connected the unit to my 2012 Tundra and had no problem navigating the menus and getting readings. The device recognized my truck and gave out the chassis number without any problems. I look forward to troubleshooting my 4Runner with this device and will update this review later with this experience.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Without car

Check the small USB port on the scanner before use

After scanning the ObdII trouble codes from my truck, I was unable to write any information onto my computer because the small USB port on the CP9670 scanner in the scanner was disconnected when plugging in the male USB cable. Consequently, the CP9670 scanner became USELESS. Thank god Revain sent me a replacement. Hope the replacement is better. It takes too long to download scanner updates, so don't rush it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Nothing here

Works for me for code readers and scan tools

I picked this up after a recent 2,000 mile trip. As I pulled out, my check engine light came on. My car is in good condition and I'm trying to follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, so I was a bit behind when the light came on. I went to an auto parts store and found that my SUV was having problems with its oxygen sensor. Although the vehicle can still be driven with this test engine code, the vehicle's gas mileage will be affected. I have ordered the corresponding sensorโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Reliability

Bought with ABS codes. Does not work with many models

WARNING! This Actron model and probably all others in the DIY market have limited ability to detect the ABS system in a wide range of vehicles. I have a rugged little Actron CP9575. Has worked great for years but does not read ABS codes. I'm trying to solve the problem with ABS myself, so I bought a CP9670. It has been advertised as ABS compatible for GM, Ford and other vehicles since 1996. Popped it into my 1996 Chevy Van and my 2012 Focus and the ABS "module" didn't show up on either of them.
