This mat is amazing! I have scoliosis and struggle with chores that require standing in one place for more than 20 mins, so I wanted something to help with that. Because of that concern, I wanted to err on the side of caution and decided to get this mat because. It had .9 thickness over the other .75 mats. I put this down and it is my favorite thing in the kitchen. I can stand for any amount of time on this mat. It is firm enough that I know it will support my weight for years with no fears of compression but definitely helps my back and foot pain. I bought a second one after a few weeks to place at my stove for better cooking after trying it at the sink and couldn't be happier. The only concern is that with the higher mat, my stove bottom drawer barely has clearance. It does okay for me, but you might measure your drawer clearance if you want it there. It is also easy to clean and does not move but maybe one inch or so after several months of use.
