I love the original Aspen Pets Walkabout! Since Petmate bought back the design, they've gotten worse. There are no annoying finger slaps, which is definitely an improvement; However, the lock doesn't work well - it's difficult to hook in. and my gloves get stuck in the trigger. This was not the case with older styles. Maybe there was more room for fingers; but that didn't happen even with small lines when i had to stick a finger out of the interdigital space with gloves on. In addition, the flat line holds and does not retract. Despite the possibility of rope burn, I prefer the rope style - they get stuck less! I like the trigger style more than the thumb holder style - so in my opinion it outperforms the flexi lead! Although with questions, maybe not that many.
