I love how this removes the U-lock from the middle of my frame so I can just sling the bike over my shoulder when climbing stairs. One thing I haven't considered is how it might block my taillight, but most of it shines through the center of the lock. The only thing I can see is at eye level, but how much does the cross strap block the light from someone from a higher vantage point (like pickup truck or SUV drivers). It's something to think about, but overall I'm happy with the purchase and want to see if it has what it takes to get through my daily commute.
