The U-Lock Holster is the solution to every cyclist's biggest biking problem: How to safely and securely carry a bike lock. Tucked away behind your saddle, this leather holster absorbs shock while riding, for a quiet and secure mount of Kryptonite and other U-locks. Easily attaches to your seat's tabs (if you don't have saddle loops, we sell them HERE) . This versatile holder also attaches to front baskets or rear pannier racks. FIT: Fits most U-Locks 4.5" - 5.5" (11.4cm - 14cm) wide, no more than 5.5 lbs (2kg) Attaches to saddles that have metal tabs (ex: Brooks saddle). Distance between seat and frame must be longer than your lock. The maximum distance between attachment points is 14.6" (37cm). Does NOT work with Kryptonite NEW YORK Locks. HANDMADE: in our Montreal workshop, with ethically sourced genuine vegetable tanned leather. Our leather is custom tanned for outdoor use.

Inaccurate description.

This is not the same as the pictures and description. There is also no box to cast doubt on the authenticity of the product. The product does not have any clips or buttons as shown in the photos, only straps. The seller added two screws to the kit to somehow attach this item to the bike. I am returning an item because the description is incorrect and I cannot install it.

Great and practical solution

Based on seller's online video, although no installation instructions came with the product, installation was easy. I would consider this a great and very practical solution for carrying U-Lock. I'm not giving 5 stars just for the lack of installation instructions, toned down by a concerned vendor emailing an online video.

Reasonably solves the problem

This smart product solves the problem of storing a U-lock on a bicycle. Gone are the days of strapping a heavy padlock to my backpack or awkwardly hanging it on my bag. The product works as described and moderately regulated. I would highly recommend it to urban cyclists looking for a minimalist lock storage solution. Despite the straps being properly tightened, my lock occasionally manages to slip behind one of the straps. Not a deal breaker by any means, but the seller should take this intoโ€ฆ

Really cool but with a caveat

I love how this removes the U-lock from the middle of my frame so I can just sling the bike over my shoulder when climbing stairs. One thing I haven't considered is how it might block my taillight, but most of it shines through the center of the lock. The only thing I can see is at eye level, but how much does the cross strap block the light from someone from a higher vantage point (like pickup truck or SUV drivers). It's something to think about, but overall I'm happy with the purchase andโ€ฆ

Need instructions, bad video. But over time I figured it out and I like the holster,

It took me too long to install this holster on my bike. The demo video is WAY too fast and I had to slow it down as slowly as possible just to think it through. I also asked my husband to try it and he was confused by the video too. So written instructions with simple illustrations (IKEA style) would be very helpful. So let me try to write these instructions: 1. Unscrew the two pieces and set them aside safely.2. Pull out two longer pieces of leather.3. After placing the body of the holsterโ€ฆ
