The waistband and elastic at the bottom fit perfectly so they won't dig into your thick rolls and be uncomfortable, but they also won't stay in place and slide off when walking. I'm a true medium size in almost everything and I would say I should have gone the small size. The padding doesn't cling to my bottom, but sticks out flat, which is a lot of fun. The padding itself is comfortable. Everyone here says I should grow up, but speaking for myself, I wish I could go down. I'm 5ft 3in and 150lbs with a lower belly. I could fit something easier than medicine. If I had a smaller fit, the padding could form around my butt.
