If you use a brush like I do, the outside of the container can get a bit oily.

Since I have an olive oil dispenser (Rachael Ray) on the stove that I'm very happy with, I decided to try this thing with a canola oil brush. I've got a new skillet with instructions not to use cooking sprays, I'm trying to develop a more eco-friendly habit. My canola oil was thicker than olive oil and a bit difficult to spread in the pan, but it worked well without an aerosol.
